Hi and welcome to my blog!
I'll be posting here to share some of my journey as I learn the double bass, working through equipment, practicing and performing issues. I also want to create a clearinghouse for the beginner upright bass player, especially those like me, who are making the transition from electric bass guitar to upright bass, from popular to classical music, from being self-taught, to taking formal training.
When I started taking lessons at the beginning of September, 2010, I had no idea that there was so much to learning and eventually mastering the double bass.
